How do you stop this happening in the future

https://www.msn.com/en-gb/entertainment/music/homeless-opera-singer-performs-concert-after-becoming-online-sensation/ar-AAIpBSc?ocid=spartanntp

Its an amazing story of how LAPD, changed the life of a homeless opera singer, what resulted was a $61,000 go fund me page a record deal and people now working on a permanent place for the Russian homeless opera singer to live.

But what happens if your not an Opera singer and your just Homeless?

The back story after falling ill, the opera singer became homeless in the state of California. and after LAPD social went viral she was saved.

Yet not everyone has this experience, and the idea of homelessness is on my mind, its everywhere, I have been blessed to travel and I often listen to radio, I notice that more adverts on radio talk about food banks, that children don’t have enough money to by school uniforms or pencils or food for school.

I thought about the challenge and what solutions are available to this, every major capital has the problem of young people unable to live the same dream of owning their own homes as their parents did?

This problem suddenly found inspiration, a new way of thinking, even last week I was looking for sites in Cornwall for this idea that was inspired by musicians, models, artists, technology leaders and corporations.

A creative Pod as a place to live, create and save to own.

Imagine if your making your first album, that in the same place people are making fashion collections with 3d scanners, making music video’s, movies, photo shoots, space based software and everyone around you is totally creating. A bit like university only its where you live. Your on your own your very own creative campus.

You have your own pod, where its like a dorm room with your own bathroom. A bit like the Imperial College London Hotel, during the summer they open their student dorms up as a hotel.  People can swim, stay and have communal areas.

Maybe you still as an emerging creative work during times of the week, but when you get home and have time on the weekends there around you is a creative buzz. So you cant forget to follow your dream.

Its a little Eutopian but hey, you have to start somewhere on a solution.

The problem is every student, artist, dreamer, writer or just lover of life has to earn a living, has to have somewhere to live and most emerging artists find themselves in cycle  trading their precious creative time to pay rent equals dreams on the back burner.

The collection, the record, the software, the photoshoot, the new shoe collection, the first movie script, the first movie short film, the first AI program all waits and waits and sometimes it just never gets created because after working 64 hours to cover eating rent and transportation the desire to create is just not there.

Now add to the mix that usually the most creative in the world are sometime the ones with the most limited access to capital.

How do artists inspire each other and create and own their own living space. In Norway every student graduates to get a loan for studio, then once this paid they graduate to a home for the new family and children.

Ok but the USA and UK and Australia are not Norway I here you say.

So here is an idea for all the property developers with a heart take a property like the one I have found in Newquay £2.75 million

Land for sale in Development Site For 74 Apartments, Newquay, Cornwall TR7

Guide price £2,750,000 (£4,741,379.31/ac)

Read more at https://www.primelocation.com/for-sale/commercial/details/48163984#iq8jBBWIRQm3dr0t.99

Check its by the beach – Cornwall – inspiration and walks for budding creatives

Check its by an airport – Newquay – 60 mins to London

Check its near a Spaceport – Newquay

Check it has trains – and public transport

Check Greta can sail here to do a talk

Check you can sail to New York from here ( I think)

Now here is the place where the finance boffins and property developers need to get their excel spreadsheet and pocket calculators out.

How much would you need to rent each one of these rooms out to a creative and how long would it take for the creative to own it?

So the new way of developing is that the people renting them are on lease to buy, the model is that each person is paying each week to own the room. Once they pay it off they can sell it to another creative wanting to live and work at the creative campus.

The tricky bit is where the Magic happens

  1. How can you get license deals with Record Studio’s to set up recording studio spaces and equipment.
  2. How can you get license deals with Microsoft to supply the Tech Stack for the Developers Dream
  3. How can you get studio set up for green screens and camera’s like Sony
  4. How can you get people that have created to visit for Motivation Monday
  5. How do you get Space Entrepreneurs to visit to inspire the latest space related software ideas that are out of this world

This is just a thought for all those bored Property Developers & Producers looking for a social edge this week and governments that are looking for new ways of thinking about solutions to the housing and young peoples challenge.

Spare a thought today for Hong Kong

One of the things that Hong Kong students said is they live in the most expensive city for property in the world. They don’t have many jobs and they are expected to pay the highest rent in the world for the smallest square meterage in the world.

Now if everyone had access to making their dreams come true where they lived, making movies, music, films, writing etc would they be as stressed and unhappy as they currently are?

Young people have big dreams and how quickly they can get them out to the world makes the difference from being discovered to undiscovered.

Have a great week xxx
